ABINSK

The city of Abinsk is located approximately within 100 kilometers from the city of Krasnodar.

Abinsky Area belongs to the mountainous areas of the Caucasus, and its territory is intersected by many tourist itineraries of different categories of complexity.

Nowadays, these places attract attention of an increasing number of tourists. The lovers of mysteries come here to see the dolmens and the ancient burial mounds, for the fans of mass shows it will be quite interesting to attend the festival of aeronautics, which is traditionally held here during the May holidays.

One can ride horses here and simply have a good rest in the wild, at the islet of nature and peace, surrounded by legends of the ancient land.

1. HORSE RIDING

For many centuries, the horses have always lived beside man. Most people have always dreamt to ride a horse since their childhood. Therefore, the dream of the childhood could be turned into reality here!

The itineraries pass across the magnificent mountainous spaces of Abinsk. It is simply impossible to describe this beauty with plain words, one needs to see it with the own eyes. You will surely not remain indifferent.

2. THE DOLMEN OF SHAPSUG

It is located on the crest of a small spur (the mountain of Kredianaya) of Kotsekhur ridge, within 4 km to the south of Shapsugskaya village, on a small prairie in a forest. The megalith represents a trough-shaped structure, carved out of a megalith stone (sand stone) with a portal and a hole in it (the plug is missing). The roofing slab (the cover) is carved out of a separate stone. Presently, the dolmen is fully preserved, apart from some separate cracks. An opportunity of seeing a dolmen, the monument of the first half of II millennium B.C. in such condition is a great luck. Its top is covered with multiple dents, which are frequently taken for the map of the sky of stars and separate constellations.

3. STONE MUSHROOMS AND THE "MIRROR" ROCK

They are located at the southern slope of Chubatoi Mountain, near Sinegorsky settlement (the Valley of Khabl River). The stone mushrooms are the natural stone sculptures, which appearance resembles with real mushrooms, but of some gigantic sizes. A little bit lower, within 20 m, there are outcrops of the rocks, called by the local hunters — the "Mirror".
