Resorts of Krasnodar area

General information

Yeisky region is situated at the north of Krasnodar Territory, occupying Yeisky peninsula and a part of adjoining to it Kuban-Priazovskaya lowland. Its territory is washed by the waters of Azov Sea from the three sides – by Taganrog bay, Yeisky liman (coastal lake), Yasensky bay, Beysougsky liman and by Azov Sea itself. The landscape here is mostly a flat country. For several kilometers the sandy spits are projecting far into the sea – Yeiskaya, Dolgaya and Kamyshevatskaya spits.

In 2000 Yeisk was regarded as the most clean and comfortable city of the Territory (among the cities with population of up to 100 thousand people). From 1996 the city is considered a resort of the Territory’s significance, though particular microclimate and the warm shallow sea-coast since long ago attract here those who fancy the family holiday-making from all over Russia.

The sea-swimming period lasts in the region from May till September. The coastal part of the sea shallow waters is warmed in summer up to +26C, and the marine breezes nicely soften the summer heat.

Therapeutic muds and mineral sources make Yeisky region one of the best balneal and mud-treatment resorts at Azov Sea. The holiday-rest in Yeisk is recommended for people suffering from diseases of cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, nervous system, skin and gynaecological disorders. There were discovered several sources of hydrosulfide, nitro-methanoic, sodium chlorade and iodide-bromine waters in the region, which can be used for therapeutic bathing. All of the Territory’s resorts use therapeutic silt mud of salty Khanskoe Lake.
