The memorial museum of a sixfold World Champion in French wrestling, the bearer of the Red Labour Banner Order, an Honoured Sports Master of USSR, the Honoured Artist of RSFSR Ivan Maximovich Poddubny had been opened by his 100-year jubilee in 1971 — in the park, not far from the grave of "Champions’ Champion".

The lake is situated within 40 km southward of Eysk and is a natural landmark of the Territory’s significance.
