GELENDZHIK

Gelendzhik is situated in the southwest part of Krasnodar Region, within 180 km from Krasnodar. The city itself is located on the coast of a picturesque Gelendzhikskaya bay of the Black sea.

Thousands of tourists come here for recreation on the seacoast, to visit the places of interest, the great abundance of which can be found in the vicinities of the city, to join the most interesting tours and even to go camping. Waterfalls, dolmens, water parks, a dolphinarium, a safari park, museums, riding tours and much more - all this cannot be experienced in a day; therefore, they come here repeatedly.

1. SAFARI PARK

It is the first rehabilitation center at the Black Sea coast for animals, where a unique effect of natural habitat is created. The animals from all corners of the globe peacefully live here, making an integral part of the plant's fauna. Having reached the very top of Markhotsky ridge by cable road, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic view of Gelendzhikskaya bay from the three observation grounds, and after taking walks along a picturesque footpath, you will discover an ancient dolmen, being a heritage of the Bronze Age.

2. MIKHAILOVSKOE FORTIFICATION

A unique museum complex, where the miraculously preserved ramparts of Mikhailovskoe Fortification are exhibited, being a part of the Black Sea coastal line from the times of the Caucasian war of 1829-1864, and including a historical and ethnographic museum and a farmstead in the Russian style with elements of life of the first immigrants.

3. THE OLD PARK

It is the first theme architectural park at the Black Sea coast. The main epochs of the world culture and aesthetics found its embodiment here: Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, the Renaissance, and the Middle Ages. A unique effect of unity of cultures was created here — one green space unites various "temporal points" and the architectural styles mix and supplement each other, making a solid integrity.

4. STORIES AND SECRETS OF THE BLACK SEA

Duration — 4 hours, available from May until October.

A motor ship tour demonstrates the flora and fauna of the Black Sea, and the occupation history of the coast. The tour takes place along the coastal line of Gelendzhik resort and finishes at the Parus rock, which is located in the village of Praskoevka. It is a unique natural sanctuary, with a height of 30 m and thickness of about 1 m.

5. IN THE VALLEY OF ZHANE RIVER

Duration — 5 hours, available from May until October.

A bus and foot tour from the village of Vozrozhdenie includes a trip to the dolmens — the coevals of the Egyptian pyramids, ancient barrows and the cascade falls of Zhane River.

6. THE DOLPHINARIUM OF GELENDZHIK

A circus show with dolphins, sea bears and lions, seals leaves a viewer with the most indelible impression.

7. KASTALSKAYA KUPEL

The trout farm is located in the village of Kabardinka. In here, you will be offered to go fishing, the open-air recreation in a juniper grove. In addition, there is a nature corner, located in the territory.
