General information

Tuapsinsky region is stretched along the Black Sea coast for 60 km. It includes several resort settlements — Dzhubga, Lermontovo, Novomikhailovsky, Nebug and others. These are the closest to the Territory’s centre Black Sea resorts.

There are wide valleys stretching along the sea coast, which are occupied with fruit gardens, vineyards and citrus plantations.

The climate of Tuapsinsky region is close to Mediterranean. The key part in forming the climate of Tuapsinsky seashore is played by forests, approaching the very edge of water, and they occupy 88.2% of the region’s territory.

In Tuapsinsky region there are offers of holiday rest of the very different standards: from auto-camping sites to the "starry" hotels. It is a place for the family and children’s holiday rest, the largest children’s centre "Orlyonok" is situated here, which annually receives up to 15 thousand teenagers from all over Russia. At the resorts of the region there are 260 health-centres, which can accommodate more than 32 thousand holiday-makers at a time.

All health-centres of Tuapsinsky coast are located along the seashore line and have beaches, which enables to set-up a network of water entertainment structures and develop the water sports. Particularly in Tuapsinsky region the largest in Russia "Delfin" water-park is situated.

Tuapsinsky region is one of few places in Russia, where the ancient landmarks are available — dolmens, there are more than one hundred of them here, and the most mysterious in Russia megalithic complex — Psynako-1 burial mound, dedicated to the heathen god of sun, the Caucasian analogue of the famous English Stonehenge.
